The curtain fell, this Sunday, in the Portuguese Championship in the qualifying phase for the promotion to Liga 3, in series 1 and 2.

Sport Clube Vianense SAD, traveled this Sunday to Amarante, to face Amarante FC in the 6th and last round of Series 1, of the Portuguese Championship, qualification phase for promotion to the Liga 3 step, a game in difficult terrain, against an opponent who was motivated and driven by his audience, and who needed to win.

Needing just a draw to guarantee promotion to the top tier, or even defeat, should Salgueiros and Lourosa draw in the other match of the day, António Oliveira’s team controlled the first half, without great goal opportunities on either side, with the break arriving with the marker at zero.

In the second half, Amarante scored on the ninth minute through Ká Semedo. SC Vianense did not tremble, and at the start of the last quarter of an hour of the game, they reached a tie through the newly entered Igarapé, to score the winning goal through Diogo Pereira. Amarante still had a penalty in favor in added time, but Balotelli wasted it, throwing the ball over the bar. The game would not end without the third goal of the SC Vianense SAD team, again scored by Diogo Pereira.

Viana do Castelo’s team won in Amarante by 1-3, and rose to Liga 3 in first place in series 1, now going to play the title of champion of the Portuguese Championship, as Atlético CP, in a game that will take place next Sunday at Estádio do Jamor, in Oeiras, at 4 pm.

In the other series 1 game, Lusitânia de Lourosa and Salgueiros drew two goals. Lourosa’s team accompanies SC Vianense SAD in the step up.
